If you’re satisfied with our estimate, we’ll schedule a time to get started. With each of our jobs, we follow the following process.
THE WOODIWISS WAY
Here's what you can expect when you call on us for
the paint job of your dreams.
1. CONTACT US
Give us a call, send an email, chat with us on our website, or contact us through social media.
2. WE COME TO YOU
We come to your home, find out how we can help you accomplish your desired outcome, and provide you with a detailed estimate.
3. RECEIVE THE PAINT JOB OF YOUR DREAMS
We prepare, plan, and execute, following our process giving you the paint job of your dreams!
1. Cleaning
To start, we will powerwash your home to remove dirt, debris, and surface contaminants. If mildew and mold are present we will treat the area with mildewcide and wash the surfaces clean. If your home is built before 1978 we will clean your home by hand to comply with California’s RRP Rule regarding the presence of lead in the first coats of paint on your home.
2. Protection
We will move your chairs, BBQ, exterior decorations, and other outdoor furnishings to a safe place while we are working. We will also cover cement, plants, and nearby grass to protect from damage or stains.
3. Surface Preparation
We will hammer in all loose nails and scrape the siding and wood trim on your home with an extremely sharp carbide blade scrapers to remove all loose paint. Stucco cracks will be repaired with an elastomeric filler that matches the texture on your stucco. If stucco damage we will repair with a flexible stucco patching material that allows for movement in the future.
4. Wood Repair
Our Job Lead will inspect the siding and wood trim for dry rot and determine if replacement is needed, or if the area can be repaired with a two-part epoxy. Any repairs beyond the scope of our original bid will be pointed out to you, and a written change order will be presented to you for approval prior to commencement of additional work.
5. Sealing the Surface
Loose caulking is cut out and removed. We will prime surfaces with appropriate primers to block stains and give a sound surface for the new paint to adhere. Our team will apply new caulking in all areas needed to prevent water intrusion into your home.
6. Inspection
Our Production Manager will inspect the preparation with our Job Lead to ensure that our standards have been met, that all of the areas of your home are ready for paint.
7. Applying the Paint
We will cover the windows, doors, lights, and all other areas that require protection. Our team will apply paint with brush, roller, or sprayer, ensuring two complete uniform coats of paint are applied to your home, in order to protect it for years to come.
8. Inspection and Touch-Up
As we apply the final touches to your home we will inspect again to confirm that the work meets our standards, taking care of all details as needed to give your home the protection that it deserves.
9. Final Walkthrough
Our Project Manager will meet you for a final inspection, to take care of any remaining items, label your paint cans, and take care of outstanding payments.
10. Five-Star Satisfaction
If you are not “five-star satisfied,” let us know — our work isn’t done until you are completely satisfied and have received the paint job of your dreams!
What You Can Expect
From Our Team
It all starts with a call to our office team. You can contact us through our website, email, or social media and we’ll take it from there. Our team will identify the details about your project, ask some questions about what is most important to you, ask what your deadline is, and ask how we can best serve you through this process. Together, we’ll set up an appointment with one of our trained Estimators that works best for your schedule.
Next an Estimator will reach out to you to introduce themselves prior to your meeting. They will find out how best we can help you achieve your desired outcome and how we can give you the paint job of your dreams. The day of the appointment we will show up on time, prepared, and we will collect all of the information necessary for an accurate estimate. They will explain the next steps and give you a timeframe for receiving a customized proposal to give you exactly what you are looking for. Then, you’ll receive our detailed proposal by email, in it you will find all of the details that you discussed with your Estimator. It will spell out the scope of your project, a detailed description of how we will complete the work, materials that we plan to use, pricing, and our warranty.
When you are ready to move forward you can sign online, pay your deposit, and we’ll take it from there. Our Project Manager will reach out to you by phone or email, connect you with our designer, answer any questions that you may have, and schedule your project on our calendar.
The first day of our project, our team will arrive, walk through all of the details of your project, modify our production plan if needed, and get to work. Our painters will follow our standard operating procedures during the painting process to make sure that your project is done right to our high standards, and to ensure that you’ll have a lasting paint job that exceeds your desires.
When the work is done our Project Manager will set up a walkthrough with you and close out the project. He will check all of the details, ensuring that excess paint cans are labeled and stored away nicely.
Our warranty covers your project for five years! If at any time after we complete your project within that time you experience a failure in materials or workmanship, our team will return and repair the area at no cost to you.
